I have been building props on and off since I was 15 or so. As a kid I wanted to become a makeup special FX artist, that never worked out. I now create dark art pieces that center around skulls, creepy little people mainly and display pieces.I work mainly in air dry clays, and mache, I try and use mostly non-toxic supplies in my studio. I am mostly self taught and have been lucky enough to have some very generous friends and artists that have helped me along the way to get to where I am now.

Zar's interest in the darker side of art began in the earliest stages of his life. A natural fascination with all things strange fostered within himself a deep connection to horror movies and dark imagery. He could relate to the feelings of fear, anxiety and isolation that they conveyed. These are themes which had permeated most of his childhood drawings and paintings and are reflected in his work to this day.
Tessa’s miniscule sculptures reinvigorate a belief in fairies: not the sweet Tinkerbell image in popular conscience, but a biological, entomological, macabre species translating pastoral fable into nightmarish lore. Constructed from bits of organic material, each of Tessa ’s figures stand barely 1 cm tall, their painstakingly intricate detail visible only through a magnifying glass.
