A Horror/Sideshow/Vaudeville/Steampunk themed Music Festival mixed with talented Vaudevillian Entertainers inside a 2 story Hollywood prop fixed building “The Mansion” located at Haunted Hollywood Sports in city of Bellfower in Southern California. This show is a one of a kind Festival! Haunted Hollywood Sports also offers extended interactive mazes, adrenaline pumping interactive killhouses where you shoot the Zombies and Monsters, thematic terrifying scarezones, and many other sideshows and side attractions.
HHS has 2 Killhouses and 1 Shoothouse for 2014; the famous nerve-wrecking “Zombie Killhouse”, the cajun themed “Voodoo Killhouse” and the all new “Last Stand Shoothouse”. What makes a Killhouse different from a regular walk-through maze is that, instead of simply walking through, defenseless against the terrors throughout, we immerse you into a storyline, arm you with a loaded Airsoft gun, Paintball marker, or laser tag gun that you can use to defend yourself against any of the monsters located within each Killhouse. That’s right, for just a small additional fee per play, we give you the chance to actually shoot the attacking monsters. These Killhouses are extremely intense, can get physical, and not for the weak of heart. And no, the monsters wont be able to shoot back.www.horror-show.com

Rise up from the grave with thousands of zombies to wreck havoc on the city of the living. Shamble around town for an incredible line-up of make-up artists, vendors, performances, after-parties, dinner and drink specials all day long and all night long! FREE to the public, open to all ages and for one day only!
A Zombie Walk is an organized gathering of people who dress up in zombie costumes and then converge quickly in a public area for surprise and fun. Walks usually in urban areas such as shopping malls or town squares. Participants arrive at a pre-determined time (often at a hidden location) and then emerge as a group to creep in a somewhat orderly fashion through shocked and amused crowds, towards a final destination (usually a cemetery, club, bar or after party).
During the Walk, all participants are encouraged to remain in character as zombies, lurching, shambling, dragging limbs and communicating only in a zombie-like manner (such as grunting, groaning, moaning and slurred calls for “brains”.) Zombie Walks are always free events. With the exception of Zombie Pub Crawls, most walks are family-friendly, so participants of all ages are welcome to join in the fun.

Spoke Art is proud to present: KUBRICK – An art show tribute to the films of Stanley Kubrick. Over 60 artists were invited to re-imagine their favorite characters, scenes and thematic concepts from one of the world’s most prolific directors. Spanning a plethora of mediums from sculpture and painting to limited edition prints, the show seeks to honor one of the 20th century’s most significant directors while also reinterpreting his impact in a contemporary context.
Widely known for his controversial techniques and highly controlled directorial style, Kubrick has fabricated a diverse repertoire of films and imagined worlds for his viewers. One of the great idiosyncratic masterminds in history’s cinema, Kubrick has cultivated a noteworthy genre completely his own. Critical discussions of humanity, morality and social justice all appear in his work regularly. Contextually disparate but psychologically banded, all of Kubrick’s films challenge the viewer both intellectually and ethically. A true auteur, Kubrick’s work pushes our understanding of human nature to severe place. Extreme violence, salaciousness and deranged psychological behavior are commonplace motifs instrumented to establish Kubrick’s pessimistic undertones. Even through satire, Kubrick manages to take levity to a place of lunatic proportion.www.spoke-art.com

Burlesque was a main attraction in the French Quarter from the mid-1940s through the 1960s. Bourbon Street was it’s epicenter, and it featured the largest concentration of burlesque clubs than anywhere in the U.S. It was the home of Lilly Christine the Cat Girl, Blaze Starr, Evangeline the Oyster Girl, and countless stars of striptease. New Orleans was also the home of jazz greats Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Al Hirt, and Pete Fountain. In 1995, New Orleans was one of the first cities to participate in the modern-day burlesque revival. Stage shows featured burlesque dancers accompanied by a live jazz band, as it was done in the heyday of burlesque.
This tradition continues today. The New Orleans Burlesque Festival was founded in 2009 to put the spotlight on classic and traditional burlesque, bringing back the glamour, humor, music, and excitement of the golden age of burlesque. The main event is a competition in which the best burlesque dancers in the world compete for the Queen of Burlesque title. Showcases, workshops, panel discussions, and parties, round out the weekend to make this the most high quality, entertaining burlesque festival today.www.neworleansburlesquefest.com
The 1960s were a decade of Classic Universal Monster Kids and Hot Rodding Rat Fink Kustomizers.
Both of these groups' interest in things outside the "norm" led to an explosion of creativity and a massive output of art, toys, model kits, magazines, trading cards and more, that were eagerly consumed by an entire generation of adoring monster fans all over the world.
Monsterfink celebrates this unique period in 1960s American culture and its influence that continues to this day.
