Forlorn Foundry

Forlorn Foundry

Josef Von Stauffenburg is a sculptor and metalworker whose artistic career began with robotics. After a somewhat successful run in robot combat, he took the skills he learned and applied them to blacksmithing and foundry work. He began experimenting with metal using his homemade forge and progressed to small-scale sand and lost-foam casting. He soon found wax as a viable medium for his work and began sculpting. He takes his sculptures all the way through from conception to casting to finish work, having a hand in all parts of the production process.
