From 1987 to 2005 Mark Alfrey worked as a freelance artist providing special effects make-up and creatures for the movie and TV industry. During his career he received 2 honors from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his work on “X-Files” and “Angel”. His work can be seen in numerous films including “Men in Black”, “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Planet of the Apes” as well as some memorable album covers for Marilyn Manson and AC/DC. Later in his career he produced a series of popular instructional dvds on sculpting, still popular today. In 2005, Alfrey left Hollywood to pursue a career in fine art.
