When I was a child, I held to the belief that an artist lived in a world where imaginative thoughts were of the utmost value. A place where the artist instinctively manifested his/her fanciful thoughts into inspired works of art. A world where anything was possible! A place where heroes are friends and all dreams may be orchestrated.

But, none of this was attainable unless the artist nurtured and maintained the following three essentials:

A sense of wonder, a belief in the impossible being possible and lastly, and most importantly, gratitude.

For you see, an artist's career is a balancing act consisting of 75% "luck" and 25% talent.

I've been lucky and I know it.
